Start of Day of the Dead...

It is that time of year again in Mexico.   This is a magical time to be in San Miguel de Allende.

Went to the mountains to enjoy the cooler air and love the LARGE trees.. Nice change and only 3 hours from San Miguel..

Acelga or Swiss Chard... no matter what you call it people are running from me!!

Swiss Chard the gift that just keeps on gifting..this is the smallest of my plants.. 

My friends are running when they see me for fear I will gift them with more Chard... I started calling it Acelga.. the spanish word for this plant on steroids!!  Then I ask them if they wanted Swiss Chard.. that only works once.. .. Sigh.. Acelga anyone?.. and wait till the tomatoes start!!!  Not to mention the squash..

Better

Today was better..less dizzy .. so think I am adjusting to the weather changes.. just not fun to always think you are falling over ... getting old is not for the weak of heart...

Dizzy

Spent the day walking along walls and hanging on.. wow.. hate dizzy.. then I realized we have a low pressure system happening.. I know pressure causes me to have problems.. like airplanes.. .etc.. BUT did not expect this ... rainy season is a month or more away... Weather map looks like this could be here for 3 or 4 days... at least it is better tonight... getting use to the change... Hoping tomorrow I can get some 'stuff' done.. My garden is calling me... slow process but has come a long way ...  Even started picking some greens.. like spinach.. beans soon..

Gluten free pizza and a great day!!

Had a nice day.. played in the garden.. new tomato plants, parsley and strawberries..
Garden is coming.. a ways to go.  My peach and tangerine trees are having a bit of a yellowing problem. Think they are getting way to much water... so less water... hopefully the squash plants can live on less water..

Bought myself some flowers..  around $5. usa.. amazing..

Made gluten free pizza tonight and had two friends over for dinner.. Nice evening. We ate out side and the mosquitos only ate us a little bit...

A good rain the other day and now all the mosquitos are happy and flying around.. ugh..

Some days... and more

Today has been a great day and a very strange day... what I think just shows up... strange but really cool... working on becoming  more aware and present.. so might start  just jabbing here... since I am the only one that reads this.. :-) .. and that is okay .. it is good to have a place to just let go ..
Went to a wonderful artist show today.. she quilts.. amazing amazing.. Art is found in so many places...
You are an artist if you get up in the morning and get dressed.. and it 'sort' of goes together.. art is found in cooking, cleaning , ironing .. all things in life are art.. take a look around you and learn to be an artist...
and MY grandson had a great soccer game today.. they beat an almost unbeatable team... Go Reese!!
so all in all one great  day!!!

Chiricahua mountains.. tonight for some reason I am smelling the mountains.. that pre-rain odor ...wondering why..... but what a nice memory...
